No decent comments on Cong. Tanner speaking and visiting at the Normandy American Cemetery on Veterans Day? Over 250 Tennesseans and over 9,000 other troops from WWII. You may disagree with him all the time and hammer him on this and hammer him on that, but I think this is pretty special.

Going to Europe on Veterans Day?

Maybe to John Tanner and John Tanner alone.
There are WAY more than 250 Veterans in the 8th District, and they’re all ALIVE! and they VOTE!!!!
There is nothing “special” about Tanner taking yet ANOTHER taxpayer funded vacation across the pond to Europe, or being absent (again) from the 8th District.
Tanner gets 99% of his campaign warchest from OUTSIDE of his District. He is NEVER around, won’t have town hall meetings, his staff shuts off the phones, he votes with the most radical left members of Congress over 90% of the time, flies to Europe at our expense rather than spend time in his own District…oh and the much publicized very first “shovel ready” stimulus project in TN goes to the 8 District and the contract is magically awarded to Ford Construction and Randy Ford just happens to be Tanner’s chief of staff…….
