Troy/family-
I am proud to be a part of your family and be your cousin. The cousins looked up to you and we appreciate all you did for your country and family. God bless you. We love you and are praying for you here in MN.

Hello, I would just like to say as the founder of a project to improve communities that Mr. Mitchell was one of the nicest people one could ever meet. At Gold’s gym yesterday a police officer was speaking about how he’d go out to an elderly person’s place and change a lock and then not even charge them. What a great guy and may God look upon him and his family always….

He truly did have a heart of gold. Thank you for sharing your memories of him. I treasure every new story I didn’t know.

Dear Mitchell family and friends, when Troy’s name is spoken among Marines, everyone that ever knew him is humbled by his caring, loving character and the integrity he displayed with his every endeavor in our beloved Corps. He is a great example for you, your sons and for the Marine Corps, and for all men of honor to follow and he will be missed. Many of us wander through life uncertain about the righteousness of our actions. Rest assured, Troy never had that problem. His influence remains on us all, and please know that even if his body may be gone, his spirit and leadership live on. Do not ask why, just put it in God’s hands and let His Judgement prevail over those who stole him from us. May God forgive and have mercy on their souls, because if it’s left up to the Force Recon Marines who knew him best, there will be hell to pay.

Hi to all, I was with Anita and 3 more cousins yesterday along with Olive & Hugh. We had lunch and just talked and talked. My daughter, Diane, called from the Jackson Airport this am while waiting for their plane to bring them home to MN. She was so impressed with all the flags that people were flying in honor of Troy. God bless. Opal from Monticello MN
