Tom Leatherwood In The Hot Seat

Tom Leatherwood dropped by the studio today to make the case why he should be the Republican nominee over Marsha Blackburn. He introduced the shockwave theory: If I get elected over MARSHA (a popular Republican), then the other Republicans will realize that NO one is safe, and they better get back to their true conservative principles if they want to keep their job!

Interesting theory. Question of the day: Is it worth kicking Marsha OUT of the House to see if Leatherwood can send a “shockwave” through Washington?

But based off of his appearance this morning, I certainly think he’s worth a listen.

(I’ll post some audio tonight)

  • The only thing shocking about Leatherwood’s strategy is how empty and baseless his plan is…. If this is his idea of “strategy” he can’t have any more marbles in his head than the aimlessly driven Democrats already stumbling all over themselves in Washington. If Leatherwood wants to beat Blackburn, than he’d better start showing some real brains, strategy and leadership on the issues rather than just some sling-shot theories on why our Congressman is “failing” her constituents.

  • Here are some humble thoughts. I have attempted to follow Leatherwood’s candidacy closely, but I have yet to find any substantial reasons as to why he is running. I have no doubt that he is a good man and a good public servant, but he needs to provide the electorate with more than just complaints about Rep. Blackburn’s accounting errors.
