Please ask why we have not gotten any response from the news media and the goverment including the govenors of Ky, Tn, and the Federal Gov. for days. I hear them talking about the friends and neigbors coming together to help each other.
I have seen the damage and I work with people that have been without power for days in freezing cold.
I listen every morning 6:30 til 7:00AM but don’t get a chance to call in.

What are we doing, turning into Massachusetts? I’m sure there’s a bridge somewhere named after Sen. Ted Kennedy. Fitting. I guess Tennessee wants to start promoting people like Cooper as heroes now. Absolutely disgusting. However I wish are national government would take a lesson from Tennessee and spend more time naming roads and bridges instead of passing all these spending bills.

It is time for conservatives to call for a stop to King Obama’s practice of naming “czars” within his administration. The latest is his “internet czar” (see the story on The Washington Post website Tuesday). Although the King’s minions claim it is to protect the security of the internet, it sures sounds like a prelude to censoring and/or controlling what is posted. King Obama knows that “czars” need not be confirmed by the Senate and are not accountable to anyone, except him. Even Democratic Senator Robert Byrd has voiced concern over his practice of appointing czars to various positions. King Obama has already seized control of the auto industry, banks, insurance companies and now health care and we should all be troubled by this….

Just got this email from a friend
ATTENTION… ………
Senate Bill SB-2099:
it will require that we put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form
all guns that you have or own.
It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.
This bill was introduced on Feb. 24th.
Bill will become public knowledge 30 days after it’s voted into law.
This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986.
This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without
the Senate voting on it at all.
The full text of the proposed amendment is on the
U.S. Senate homepage, http://www.senate. gov/
You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number SB-2099.
This is scary! I guess we have the right
to bear arms if we can pay the taxes!

Hello I am a newly graduated physician subspecialitist in a specialty that not really people go into because of life style. It requires lots of call and it typically deals with the sickest of patients. I am practicing in Jackson TN. Anyway to some people national health care seems like a good idea. Well in reality it will not work and this is why. Americans in general feel that they are entitled. They will want the best care. The best care cost money. I have seen people have a complete diagnosis in one hospital, be unsatisfied with the diagnosis/prognosis and go to a second hosptial such as Mayo/Vanderbuilt and have the same workup all over and get the same conclusion. I believe human nature is to abuse things that are free and no doubt hospital bills will get worse. Also Obama’s increase in primary care MD and NP will not work either. Why, because it has been my experience as a subspecialitist that once a patient become complex they will refer and expect you the subspecialitist to continue to manage one single aspect. If a patient has been referred to a lung doctor, the PCP will tell the pateitn to call the lung doctor for breathing problems even if they could handle it themselves. In many ways PCP (especially NP) farm out the care of the pateint to specialist. They function as triage. Also preventive care will not work either for two very simple reasons, human nature and the 7 deadly sins. How many obese people do you know can loose weight and keep it off. How many diabetics don’t cheat on their diet. If we could change human nature from one of excesses to one of moderation then this plan would work. But if that happened, we would not be having this conversion anyway. Most of my day (70%) is spent in paperwork, the rest is with patient’s. Why do doctors have so much paperwork? Well because of governmental regulations that require it to get paid, and “if you don’t document it, it did not happened.” So if I don’t write that “Mr. Jones has cancer, he is aware of this and is aware that it could kill him, and he at this time doesn’t want to do anything about it,” then later when he dies or his family comes and finds out for the first time he had cancer and had not told them and now they or he wants to sue because he has changed his mind, and didn’t realize that he could/would really die from this. From my experience many patient’s take no responsiblity in their disease, that is why they cont. to smoke drink and eat excessively. Would I do this all over again, give 14 years to this, knowing what I do today. The answer is no. Currently I hold 3 going on 4 board certifications in various medical fields. People say doctors are over paid. I can promise I would not do this if I didn’t make a certain amount. You will not attract the brightest to the field if it is not worth the stress. I cannot count the nights I have been on call ,got 30-50 pages, been awakened and not been a dollar richer. I lost my time and sleep, and got nothing for it. Currently when I talk to premed or medical students I encourage them to pay attention to what is happening today, to make sure that the time spent in their goal will be worth it. If they are set on medicine I try to help them find fields that will not “kill” you. I frequently encourage people to look at other careers that don’t take so long to start making a living. Many doctors are 10-12 or more years behind everybody else in making a real living. I feel that socialized medicine is coming, and once here you cannot take it back. Hopefully the US will not regret what it is asking for. Forever is a long time.

I am a 5th grade Social Studies teacher at Dresden Middle School and listen to you most mornings on the way to school! Great show by the way! We are looking for a service project for our 4-H club. My question is, if we collect things to send to the military, do you have a connection and donations for shipping to get them there? Also, are there any particular items needed? Thanks so much.

I am excited tobe an American. I love the show and listen to it everymorning. I can say today I was truly disapointed. I feelt like it was a personal attack on people like me who do use government services (ex: medicade). I am a single mother of two and I am currently going to college full time to better my childrens future and my own. I do have to use this form of medical insurance because of the current sistuation I’m in. I do know for the most part MOST people on these programs are as the caller said “addicted” to these programs. But contrary to what most people believe not all of us are. Some do not have a choice. I for one pride my self in the fact that I do not take advantage of government services. I am qualified for free daycare and a wellfare check. The view I have on these in my case, is that if I can live without them I will so that someone who needs them more than I do can take advantage of the programs. I love the show!!!!!!!! and just want to let pople know not everyone is “adicted ” to the programs the government offers. Please realize there are aceptions to EVERYTHING.

We just heard on Memphis TV news that someofour Nat’l. Guard troops in Mississippi for training were promised transportation home for Christmas but now there are no funds available.
One group is from Ashland City, 278th Squad and they need $4000 to come home.
We can help if we knew more about the need, and why Tanner and other pols are not all over this.
